A focused 30-minute session to help you clarify your direction, develop your ideas and figure out what comes next.

You don't always need another course.

Sometimes you just need to talk through the idea that's been sitting in your head, get an outside perspective on the work you're making, or finally figure out what your next move should be.

Bring the idea. Bring the problem. Bring the work. We figure out what comes next.

This is a focused 1:1 session for creatives who want practical direction around their creative practice, projects, photography, opportunities, business or next steps.

Your challenge determines where we go.

WHAT WE CAN WORK ON

There is no rigid agenda and you don't need to choose a package before you book.

Depending on what you bring into the session, we might work on:

Creative Practice

Building, positioning and developing a creative practice that can grow with you.

We can look at what you're doing now, where you want to go and what needs to change to move your practice forward.

Creative Development

Have an idea but don't know how to develop it?

We can work through the concept, identify what matters about it and explore how you could turn the idea into actual creative work.

This is where Your Story Matters comes in.

The framework can help you move from simply making images to thinking about what you actually want to say, document or explore.

Creative Direction

Sometimes the problem isn't a lack of ideas.

It's having too many of them.

We can step back, look at what you're considering and work out which direction makes sense for where you are now.

You might leave with a clearer project, a stronger concept or simply a better understanding of what you want to make next.

Photography Development

For photographers, we can work through questions around:

  • People, places and stories

  • Developing a photographic project

  • Finding a stronger sense of direction

  • Building a body of work

  • Sequencing and selecting images

  • Developing your visual voice

  • Reviewing existing work

  • Figuring out what your photographs could become

The goal isn't to tell you how to make photographs.

It's to help you understand what you're trying to make and where the work could go.

Creative Strategy

You might know what you want to create but not know what to do with it.

We can look at the practical side of your idea, including positioning, opportunities, marketing, offers, audiences and possible next steps.

Business & Practice Strategy

If you're trying to build a sustainable creative practice, we can also work through questions around:

  • What you could offer

  • How to position your skills

  • Finding opportunities

  • Developing your offers

  • Marketing your work

  • Turning ideas into practical projects

  • Deciding what to focus on next

  • Building a practice that can develop over time

AI Strategy

Where it genuinely makes sense, we can also look at how AI could support your creative workflow or practice.

Not AI for the sake of AI.

Just practical ways it might help you save time, develop ideas, organise your work or support the way you already create.

WHAT IF I DON'T KNOW WHAT I NEED?

That's okay.

You don't need to arrive with a perfectly defined question.

Maybe you have:

An idea.
You know you want to make something, but you don't know where to start.

A problem.
Something isn't working in your creative practice and you need another perspective.

An opportunity.
Something has come your way and you're trying to figure out how to approach it.

A body of work.
You've been making photographs or other creative work and need help seeing the bigger picture.

Too many directions.
You have several ideas and need to work out where to focus.

No clear direction.
You simply don't know what your next move should be.

That's exactly what the session is for.

THIS IS NOT A MINI VERSION OF THE SIX-WEEK PROGRAMME

The Creative Practice six-week group programme gives you a structured process for building, marketing and growing your creative practice.

The 1:1 Creative Practice & Strategy session is different.

It's focused on your situation, your questions and your next move.

Think of it as:

CREATIVE PRACTICE

Build → Market → Grow

A six-week mentoring programme for creatives who want structured guidance.

1:1 CREATIVE PRACTICE & STRATEGY

Clarify → Create → Direct → Develop

A focused session shaped around whatever you need to work through right now.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT

In 30 minutes, we'll focus on the thing that matters most.

You'll have space to explain what's happening, share the idea or problem you're working through, and get an outside perspective.

Together, we'll identify what needs attention, explore the possible direction and turn the conversation into practical next steps.

The aim isn't to give you more things to think about.

It's to help you leave with more clarity about what to do next.

WHO IS THIS FOR?

This session is for creatives who are:

  • Developing a creative practice
